We were up early on Thursday morning and frantically trying to stuff things in to cases without putting making them even more overweight. George decided to have a lie in...of all days. We were on road by 7.15am, Mum and Danny took us to the airport, checked in with no problems and no issues about the tonne bags we were taking! After an emotional farewell, it was through to departures and straight on the plane. We were on the new airbus 380, comfortable enough and not a horriffic journey. George had his hands on everything.....the lap table, tv, remote control, drinks holder, etc and we got slapped with few wet flannels on route. We arrived in Singapore airport, although didn't see much of it, as we were catching the next flight to Perth, this time on a smaller plane, but as it was empty, we were able to stretch out and sleep a bit.
On arrival in Perth, we were greeted by an excited Lew, Kate, Emily and Luke. It was great to finally see them after so long. The kids were holding hands within minutes and we came back to the house to catch up. Saturday was spent looking at a car, then on to IKEA (yes they have them over here!!) to sort out bedroom furniture, back to the house for dinner and messing around on the Wii (it's like we've never been apart!)
Sunday we took a drive into Perth City, the view on the way in was lovely. Crossing the river, Kings Park to your left and the sun shining. We had been told it was small, but couldn't believe that was it when we finished walking up the two streets. George was in his element shoo shooing the pigeons. Wes was obsessed with getting an ice cream so we found an Ice Cream shop to keep him and the kids quiet...lol.
Once back at the house, we took Jake for a walk over the park. This was nothing like we imagined. Where we are staying at the moment is lovely but theres a lot of building going on as it's a new suburb. We walked over the road to where it has just been finished and we were amazed. There are new houses, all have there unique individuality about them, detached, vibrant colours and quiet roads. Not the same as Neighbours, but on a grander scale. The streets are clean, the grass is greener than green, there are free BBQ areas to use, the playground is on sand with sails across to shade, theres a lake with fountain and this is just in a small suburb. We were blown away.
Today has been spent setting up banks accounts, changing up money, going to the supermarket and following Kate around like a lost sheep. It's different, knowing what you need to get not what you recognise. There are a lot of brands here that we have in England, but everything you pick up to begin with it so different from the local Tescos or what you are used to. We have bought a 1992 Landrover Discovery, it was cheap and will be fine for our first car.
The sun was out today, 26 degrees, we did have showers over the weekend so havent been to the beach yet.
Will put some pics on soon xx

Just before we left...
These are some pics from the last couple of nights before we left England. We were at Mum and Danny's for dinner on Tuesday night, lots of laughs had there. We popped down to see Nan and Grandad before we left, only for George to soak Grandad's trousers with the watering can (check out Grandad's facial expression as he gets soaked!!) Our last night we went out for dinner with Rod and Josh and returned home to find Ersen, Anne and Yasmin had arrived. It was a mad last night getting everything in the suitcases, weighing them over and over again, eventually we were sorted and got to bed only to rise at 6am where it all began.............

Our last couple of weeks in the UK
Here are just some of the photos we took from the last few weeks in the UK. We made the decision not to have a leaving party and wanted to visit as many people as we could. It was lovely catching up with you all and we will miss you all lots. We would like to thank you all for you kind words, cards and money. We will try to update here as much as we can and let you know how we are settling in.
